We are pleased to announce the return of Dr Littles and Clinical Social Worker John Horsley to this years conference.
This years key speakers are...
Dr. James Littles Jr.
Bro. Littles has been involved in ministry and education most all of his adult life. He has served as a pastor, and a Military Chaplain. He was one of the founding Vice presidents of Urshan Graduate School of Theology.
He has been an instructor and academic dean at Gateway College of Evangelism and Kent Christian College, and has taught elementary school.
He holds multiple degrees including Master of divinity and a Doctorate in family studies. He is an ordained minister with the UPCI
Dr. Littles currently serves as Professor of practical theology at Urshan Graduate School of theology, participates in conducting chaplaincy training, and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars and symposiums.
John Horsley MSW
John has been married to his wonderful wife Susan for 14 years. They have three children McKenzie, Gentry, and Paige that bring joy, excitement, and character refinement for John and Susan.
John has attended Ball State University where he studied Psychology. John transferred to Indiana University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree and later a Masters degree in Social Work
John has worked in a variety of settings. He has experience working in inpatient mental health, outpatient mental health, residential treatment, and home base services.
He has worked specifically with teens that have been incarcerated or supervised by court systems, teens in a home-based setting, families of alcohol/drug addicts, and currently works with men who have committed acts of domestic violence.
John is currently assisting with the development of a program for formally incarcerated individuals convicted of violent crimes.
He also has worked in his local church for the past several years serving as youth leader, Principal/teacher, and currently as the outreach minister. John has been a member of the ministerial body of the United Pentecostal Church for the past ten years. He has assisted many pastors and leaders in dealing with church issues and personal situations.
He is also co-founder of H.O.P.E. Interventions specializing in Assaultive-Aggressive offender intervention programs.
Jack Forbes
Jack Forbes is a licensed minister with the UPCI and has worked in the area of substance abuse and anger management for six years, working with clients in the correctional and the probation and parole sectors.
He currently sits as the Missouri District coordinator of Life In Focus Education, and serves as the Missouri District Chaplain for Christian Prisoner Fellowship.
HE is the co-founder of H.O.P.E. Interventions specializing in Assaultive-Aggressive offender intervention programs, and is the director of Life In Focus of West County.
Theresa Forbes
Theresa is a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church. She has worked in the ministry in some form for over twenty years everywhere from Sunday school to outreach to her current position as prayer coordinator for the Pentecostal Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. (and just about everything in between)
Having worked in jail and correctional ministry for the last eight years she serves with her husband in capacity of women’s chaplain for Missouri district CPF. She also holds a certificate of basic Chaplaincy from Urshan Graduate school of Theology.
Theresa’s 30 plus years working in the health field in oncology, dialysis, and gerontology has served her well in the ministry. She is an LPN and when not being a wife, a mom, a grandma or ministering or teaching substance abuse classes, she works full time as a facility inspector for the Missouri dept of Health and Senior Services
